About me

Many of us enjoying comfortable lives in India and US, owe our professional and personal success to the strong education foundation. Most rural families in India who cannot afford education for their children force the kids to work as daily laborers. Through Isha Vidhya we have the opportunity to offer education at its highest quality to first generation school goers.

I have been an Isha Vidhya Donor for 2 years .First Time in 2010 I made a $240 donation to sponsor child education. Transparency in the donation process, matching with a donor child and regular updates such as photograph of a child, a personal thank you letter and annual mark sheet convinced me on the impact Isha Vidhya was making in the lives of these children. My experience with Isha Vidhya really motivated me to be more involved the following years.

In 2011 in Seattle, me and couple of volunteers raised around $15,000 towards scholarship funds for admittance of new students for the academic year 2012.

In march of 2013 I had an opportunity to visit IshaVidhya school , look at the classrooom's and see how rural children were benifitted by this initiative. Had a great experience sharing Lunch with the school children who depend on the meals for nutrion and health .Every year through the contributions of my friends and family I have been able to raise money to support 5 kids scholarship.

This year I am running to raise 20 Scholarship ( 40 x240 ) $2400 Dollars .

I hope you can join me in my campaign and help the kids flourish through education.

Regards

Shiv
