The juice of the four day old broccoli sprout has an abundance of Sulphorphane Glucosinolate (SGS) that helps prevent or treats cancer, macular degeneration, (eye disease) stomach ulcers, Alzheimer's disease, and ageing in cells.
Universities around the world have studied SGS and published studies showing that it is useful in the prevention or treatment of numerous conditions such as cancer, macular degeneration, (eye disease) stomach ulcers, Alzheimer's disease, ageing and many more.
But wheatgrass juice must be fresh, it must never have been heated or frozen otherwise the live enzymes will decay.
To get enough of the SGS to do the job requires about 2 kilos of broccoli a day. No one can eat that much every day.
So how can a person get the benefits of wheatgrass and broccoli every day easily and without getting bored?
The answer is in juices. Wheatgrass juice and Broccoli sprout juice.
But these juices deteriorate very quickly and quickly lose the live enzymes that make them good for you. Heat, light, bacteria and oxygen can all impact the enzymes in wheatgrass juice so that within minutes the benefits begin to be lost.
Treating the juice with high temperatures for pasteurisation will destroy the enzymes. Freezing the juice will be a phase change that subtly alters the values of the juices.
