TheGlobal Peace Initiative is an innovative, scientifically validated program tocreate world peace.

Global PeaceInitiative's goal is to create a permanent group of 9,000 professional peacecreators in India and another group of 1,200 in the US. These groups comprise Maharishi Vedic Pandits who aretrained in Yoga (Advanced Transcendental Meditation Program)and Yagya (recitation of special Sanskrit performances such as Rudrabhishek) the Traditional Vedic technologies of peace revived by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi.

Peer-reviewedpublished research (http://www.permanentpeace.org/evidence/index.html) has shown that when these advanced meditation programs arepracticed in a group, a dramatic reduction in crime, accidents and even wardeaths is found in the surrounding population. To create this peaceful effecton a global scale, studies indicate that a group of a minimum of 9,000 is required.

Over 2,000 Maharishi Vedic Pandits are already inresidenceat a 1,770-acre campus in the geographic center ofIndia,and another group of 1,000 has been active in Maharishi Vedic City, Iowa, USA since 2007.
