Akshaya Patra was founded on the belief that the simplest of catalysts—a hot school meal—could reverse poverty trends by combating childhood malnutrition and incentivizing education. By partnering with India’s state and federal government and using technologically-advanced kitchen facilities, Akshaya Patra has created a cost effective model that can provide a meals for a year to a child for just $15!
