SUPPORT OUR GREAT TEAM MEMBERS, RUNNING TO PRESERVE STORIES!

The 1947 Partition Archive is working hard to save the last remaining oral histories from elders who remember Partition. We are working to preserve this undocumented history for our current and future generations, and ensuring that our children and grandchildren will forever have a resource of stories that captures the intrigue of South Asian culture and history. Join us before it is too late.

Goal: We hope to raise $10,000 from Sevathon this year. Join our team and help us reach our goal. Or, you can support a runner through the menu on the right.

Our Mission and Activities:

The 1947 Partition Archive is a citizen-powered organization dedicated to uncovering the people's history of Partition. We are gathering oral histories from elders that have witnessed Partition and spread awareness by sharing such stories collected from all ethnic, religious and economic groups. We provide a platform for our fellow citizens to train as oral historians, collect stories and preserve them into perpetuity. We document pre-Partition life and culture, the story of Partition and post Partition migrations and life changes. Join us preserving this quickly vanishing history.
