Chennai flood relief
Late in 2015 Chennai suffered from days of torrential rains that resulted in massive flooding in many parts of the city. There was widespread loss of life and property, with tens of thousands of families losing their homes and their belongings. While the city continues to limp back towards normalcy, the citizens of Chennai are still struggling to put their lives back together. In many areas entire homes need to be reconstructed and steps need to be taken to ensure that people have healthy living conditions.
IITMAANA is hosting a fundraiser music concert featuring renowned slide instrumentalist Sangeet Samrat Chitravina Ravikiran and Sax Maestro George Brooks, who will combine in a Unique Melharmonic Melange event Singing Strings & Swinging Sax. They will be accompanied by the world-famous Simon Phillips on the drums and Bay Area's veteran Ramesh Srinivasan on the Mridangam.
IITMAANA is working in partnership with AID INDIA to ensure that every dollar raised through this event will be spent in Home Reconstruction, rebuilding Education Centers, and meeting the needs of Health and Drinking Water. With your generous support we will be able to truly make a difference in the lives of those affected by the recent floods in Chennai.
