Maitri is a non-profit- 501 C (3) agency in the San Francisco Bay Area. For over 23 years Maitri is helping the survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking primarily from South Asia through a variety of culturally and linguistically customized services.

Many immigrant victims may have very limited or no knowledge about the local legal and social resources. Maitri helps them find those resources. Maitri programs (Helpline, Legal Advocacy, and Transitional Housing) empower the survivors to find their lost self-esteem so that they can make informed decision to move to a violence free, meaningful and productive life. Maitri outreach program spread awareness against domestic violence. Maitri’s works focus on crisis intervention as well as prevention.
